Summer Ale is a traditional American wheat beer with a crisp malted wheat flavor.

A lively brew, it’s a clean, cool, and refreshing light bodied ale, worthy of a relaxing afternoon in the sun. This brew is an ode to summer in Maine and pairs well with lobster, beaches and sunshine. This beer is best enjoyed outside with a lime wedge.

bottled. Wow a wheat ale? I would have guessed this a kolsch. It was gold, and ok.

Can. Gold color with a medium head. Aroma, rather weak. Hay, does not smell like a wheat beer. Taste. Also weak. Not really good.

Scared of the weather. No, I'm not kidding.

Can at the cabin, NH. Pours mostly clear gold, effervescent, with a foamy white cap. Pretty inoffensive stuff, basic bready-doughy law malts, mild bitter straw, hints of citrus. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more pale bread, hay, lemon rind. Simple, enjoyable.

Floral aroma that comes off especially strong from the head. Taste and palate are similar to that of an IPA, the floral notes contained within the beer are its defining factor. A little harsh on the tongue for an ale but that’s ok.

From a can: pours the way it looks in that there picture. Aroma is light fruitiness and bread. Taste is bready. Lightly hopped and kind of fruity. Pretty meh.
