Bottle @ home. Well stored 2016 10th Release Edition edition bottle. Burnt orange vax (Cognac barrel). Dark brown body under a thin beige head that disappears almost at once. Strong aroma of smooth roasted dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, honey and alcohol where the cognac reference is weak. I guess I wouldn’t recognize it as Cognac if I didn’t know. Taste is strong and sweet, still kinda smooth with plenty of dark malt, chocolate, coffee and balanced honey flavor. Alcohol is distinct but warming and not really boozy. Solid stuff.

Dang lots of cognac still, I'm not the biggest cognac fan but I do appreciate the booziness, and it's delicious overall. Sweet molasses and cognac. Thanks Irish M. !

2015 version. Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have depths of sweetness with the honey and cognac. The gentle roasted coffee and dark malts provide a good balancing act.

Bottle from Beergium. Black pour with a tan head. Cappuccino, dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel aromas. Taste is chocolate mousse, more cappuccino, definite cognac notes, whisper of toffee apple. Buckettloads of warming alcohol. Tasty complex brew.

Bomber. Chocolate, grape and cognac. Black with a pretty tall head. Sweet grape and chocolate flavor, finishes rather dry. Very smooth and silky. Somewhat one-dimensional but luscious.
