Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of fruit, berries, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw and citrus, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.

500 ml bottle. Slightly hazy, dark golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Lovely aroma of fresh citrus fruit, hay and some caramel. Flavor is refreshing citric fruity, moderate bitter and caramel. The body feels right and balanced for a beer at this low alcohol level, long and pleasant bitter finish. Considering this to be only 4,5% abv and as the label says, “inspired by IPA” (this is not an IPA), this is a really tasty and refreshing thirst-quencher. In my opinion, one of the better Norwegian ales available outside the Vinmonopolet.

Flaske 0,5l på Olympen, Oslo 17 Feb 10. Aprikosfarget. Litt uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum. Forsiktig humlet aroma. Svakt søtlig frukt. Smaken er litt syrlig. Blir litt skarp bitter etter hvert. Bra - men ikke noe typisk IPA. Tørr avslutning.

One of the six 500ml bottles from Inderøy that I was very happy to find at Fenaknoken in Oslo. Batch 920. Clear, amber body with a lacing head. Interesting smell of malts and jam-like fruits. Caramel malty flavour supported by resinous hops and weak hints of yeast, ending with dry bitter orange fruits. Medium bodied. Flavoursome and likable (hotel room, 18.08.2009).

Rerate, 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is still 4.5%. Slightly hazy bronze colour, large to moderate white head. Lovely strong aroma of fruity hops, notes of oranges and pineapple. Also notes of resin. The flavour is indeed distinctly hoppy throughout, but is also backed up by a decent malty sweetness. Resinous notes, some fruit too. Long bitter aftertaste. Good mouthfeel for an IPA of only 4.5%. Recommended. Original rating: 500 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. Brew #849. ABV is 4.5%. Served too cold. Amber colour, moderate head. Moderate but nice aroma of fruity hops, hints of orange marmalade and resin. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, with resinous notes, bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. A slightly unclear, golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. Dusty, citrusy hops on the nose, with the malts left in the background. Quite bitter at first, then it mellows, and tastes of citrus and resin. A little caramel flavor in the back. Medium body. The finish is lasting, on the hoppy side, with resin and dusty hops. Ok, so it’s a quite good beer, but the choice of hops isn’t my favorite. The low ABV also makes it a fine thirst quencher. (090501)
