Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - thanks to one of the Swedes, I’m sure. Poure clear amber with a fine, creamy head. Sugary and bready malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with light toasted sugars, bread, modest dry caramel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some more dryness in the finish - which is welcomed - with light leafy bitterness, dirt, further dry caramel. Good offsetting bitterness. Decent marzen.

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Ian. It pours clear red-amber with a small white head. The nose is caramel, red berry (particularly raspberry) and some candy/bubblegum. The taste is caramel, toast, decent bitterness, red berry, metal, pithy citrus and soap with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice flavour and pretty high drinkability. Decent stuff.

330 ml bottle, as Gotlands Red October (Wisby is not mentioned on the label), from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.0%. Pale brown to copper colour, large off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma with hints of caramel and brown bread, also some hints of over-ripe red fruits. The flavour is also malty with distinct notes of caramel, but is not too sweet. Decent hops in the finish, medium bitter aftertaste. A nice beer which i might well buy again.

Bottle. A clear, dark amber to copper coloured beer topped by a small, beige head. The aroma had toffee, bread and some roasted hints. The flavour is pretty much the same, with a little bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Lasting bready finish. A decent beer, but I’m not impressed, and can’t see myself having more bottles. 121222
