Bottle, 6.0%. Perfumy malt aroma. Clear amber colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sweet, yeasty and perfumy with a touch of metal in the finish. Come to think of it, it is more than a touch, it is a distinct iron flavour like many other beers from this company. I do not get any smoke.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Tom. Clear shony amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some fruitiness, honey and a bit of whiskey notes. Sweet malty caramelly flavor with some fruitiness, whiskey notes, light acidity and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. Kinda OK but not smoky at all.

Bottle at Delirium Café. Pours very dark ruddy copper with a slight beige head. Aroma seems both scotch whiskey smoke and chocolate. Med body. Flavor is mild scotch whiskey smoke and lots and lots of chocolate. Amazingly smooth. And weird. Drinks damn well tho.

Bottle. It’s a clear, dark golden to copper beer topped by a creamy, two-finger, off-white to light beige head. Fruity, peachy and sugary nose, like any Belgian blonde. Peachy and lightly sugary flavor with a decent bitterness. Grassy and spiced with some pear hints. Medium body, smooth. Bitterness and fruityness in the end. A quite decent one, didn’t find any smoke as some other raters did. 111001

Bottle. Clear, deep amber with lace. Fruity nose with citrus and malt, grainy. Malty flavor, caramel, just a bit smoky with peat. Fruity and spicy from the yeast, and rather dry. Light but full and very drinkable. Only a mild “whiskey” malt taste, but the sweetness is light and balance good.

Bottle courtesy of yespr, thanks! Clear amber color, tan head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is bitter butterscotch. I didn’t realize it was a smoke beer until I saw that in the title here.
