A slightly hazy dark golden beer with a mid sized good lasting off white head. Aroma of sweetish pale malt, some honey, flowers and some grainy malt. Taste of mild sweet pale malt, some honey, grains, sharp spicy hops, herbal hops, moderate bitterness.

330 ml tap. Unclear amber with a small head. Grassy hops, lemon zest, vanilla, butter, some diacetyl, cookie dough. Hoppy bitterness, malty caramel sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily, lively carbonated, dry zesty malty hoppy bittersweet finish. A very tasty hoppy Maibock!

2011-05-18, draught at the brauhaus, 7-5-7-3-13=35
The malt-cereals aroma is delicate and quite elegant. The flavor is sweetish but not much malt quality, just some caramel. The bitterness may be considered a bit too high (and without hop qualities). Good.

Dark copper color, hazy; medium sized compact head. There is a quite nice aroma of biscuity malts at first, but then turning into more vulgar raw cereals. Good body strength, with quite good malt flavor as a backbone, around which it develops caramel (a bit dry-harsh), the required sweetness, light cereals; the bitterness level is quite high for a Maibock, probably increasing the quality overall; as such it turns to be rather similar to the Vogel Maibock. The final is well malty, way above most Maibocks. Balanced. Very pleasant.
