A delicious honey based wine with a sweet spicy overtone. Slightly drier than Traditional Mead.

750ml bottle from Downtown Garden Centre, Grantham. Golden amber colour, short-lived bubbly head and aroma of honey, herby, heather, spiced. Taste is sweet, honey with herbal notes, and earthy, spices, boozy. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, drying astringent boozy finish. Quite sippable.

Bottle at the Watford tasting thanks to Sarah & Fergus. It pours clear rich gold with a few bubbles on the cap. The aroma is sweet, fresh, honey, fruit pie & ice-cream, nectarine and pear tart tatin. The taste is bitter - sweet, juicy, honey action, toffee, oily, fruit pie, nectarine, candy and some warming alcohol. The finish is deceptively smooth. Medium body, light carbonation and slick, oily mouth-feel. Drinks pretty easy. Rather decent.

Bottle shared at the Watford Tasting / BBQ. A viscous golden orange coloured pour. Aroma is earthy honey, jarred honey, some spicy alcohol, brambles, caramel. Flavour is composed of sweet earthy honey, warming alcohol, sugary. Pronounced honey character. Palate is very sweet sugary, lowish carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of my ex-wife. Dark gold, clear. Gluey aroma with some honey and caramel. Lovely sweet and spicy taste. Weakish body but nice spicy sour finish. Better than I thought it would be.

375ml bottle. Pours a flat gold with no head. Aroma is honey, spice and white wine-esque alcohol notes. Taste is sweet honey to start. Honey and white wine in the finish. A bit sticky and spicy. Warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Not a fan of the white wine similarities.

Blond color. The aroma is quite pungent; there is honey, very floral, lightly soapy, and with plastic too. Sweet honey flavor, even if the body is quite lean, with a citrus acidity that balances the sweetness well; the alcohol warmth is clearly perceived (maybe too much); the final is citrusy and a bit dry. Good but not complex.
