Color amarillo oscuro corona de espuma blanca, aromas citricos bastante especiado, sabor citirco y especiado cuerpo medio.

Draught at Beer loves Food. Cloudy yellow with a medium head. Aroma of fruit tea. Flavour is spiced fruit juice, quite tangy, peach hop finish.

Unclear yellow color with a fine white head. Good lacing. Earl grey aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation level. Tea, grapefruit hoppy, floral and fruity flavor. Nice tasty beer. Ok a bit unusual. But it was ok.

Can courtesy of and shared with dad (cheers dad!) at Moira Furnace Folk Festival Saturday 19th August 2017 Golden with a white head. Quite fruity and a little floral from the off there is citrus flying around, dry finish good bitterness but the tea is subtle. Good beer. . A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Can produced at Brewdog for this New Zealand craft beer company, bought at the shop of Craft & Draft in Amsterdam. Apparently an IPA spiced up with Earl Grey tea. Nicely lacing, medium thick, off-white, moussy head, gradually dissipating in the middle but retaining around the edge, over an initially practically clear, warm ’old gold’ coloured beer with peachy hue. Strong, extremely perfumey aroma of bergamot oil, patchouli, fresh tea leaves indeed but in this sweet and very ethereal whole actually less tea-like than I expected, peppermint, lavender, pine-scented air freshener, pink grapefruit flesh, chewing gum, vaguer hints of lemon zest, white bread, pepper, fresh ginger, pineapple and apricot. Clean but vivid onset, lots of ripe apricot, very sweet blood orange and mango flavours, sweet in general but with a vague sourish undertone, softly carbonated but still stinging a bit on the tip of the tongue, mellow and soapy, very soft and very slick mouthfeel. Smooth biscuity malt sweetness ensues, with this marmelade-like layer of sugary sweetness on top, evolving into an only very softly bittering finish, with some citrussy and piney hop aromas - yet immediately overwhelmed by this strong retronasal perfume, which, combined with that marmelade sweetness, results in a very sweet ethereal oil-like, almost ’heavy’ effect, not unlike sweet patchouli. I don’t like tea to begin with so I guess I knew what to expect, but still this is way less IPA than I was hoping for: the hop character is a bit lost here in that overly perfumey, sweet and ethereal tea element, which dominates this brew from onset to finish and all the way through the nose. It does show complexity, the malt portion is pleasant and smooth and the hops do provide some late, drying and spicy bitterness, but the tea effect reigns it all. Very weird and probably not my beer to begin with - I can understand how tea, like beer and other beverages, has become immensely popular in recent years and it only seems natural that creative craft breweries want to integrate this trend in some of their beers, but this section of the craft beer world is not entirely meant for me. Still technically very well executed though, feels like a fruited NEIPA with the tea replacing the fruit, and I do appreciate the sweet orange- and marmelade-like flavour which is very strong here, so I will still grant it a decent score for those reasons alone. I’m sure I know people who would absolutely adore this.

33cl can from Waitrose, Bracknell. A good looking beer with a bright golden amber colour and a tight cream head; floral aroma with a hint of tea; dry in the mouth with lots of tea and a touch of peachy fruit; then a dry stony finish. Very pleasant and easy drinking.
