Cask - half pint. Ink black in colour. Small brownish head. Smoky to the nose, otherwise rather poor on aroma. Marked flavour of dark chocolate with supporting fruit and spices. Medium palate (found in good condition at Market Porter, London Bridge 15.09.2006).

Bottled. Dark brown, almost black. Beige head. It has an aroma of coffee, chocolate and mocca, with some roasted notes. Medium to thin body with flavors similar to the aromas. Pleasant finish with bitterness, roastiness and cocoa. Pleasant, dark ale. (060615)
