May 2009: I first drank this beer in the mid 1970’s, it was the beer sold in the cafe at Cochem Castle and I loved it. Not seen it for years, then I found this 500ml bottle on the Greek island of Skiathos, was I pleased? You bet your ass! Poured into the half pint tumblers that were supplied with my holiday studio, it looked great. Deep golden body, white head, good lacing and head retension on both glasses. Clear and bright. Normal lager/pils score of 3 for non-aroma. Malty and wholesome flavour, rich for a normal pilsner. Fairly dry, refreshing and crisp, full bodied, if a pilsner can be so called? Good stuff, but remember I’ve been on a Greek island for ten days drinking local beers before I found this!

Can. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of grain and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for this.

Can, Athens. Golden colour. Fairly big head. Gentle sparkle. The aroma promises a grassy, doughy beer. There’s a fruity, berryish accent to the hops that is sort of enjoyable, though the malts are bland and slightly doughy. Decent for a macrobrew - the go to swill in Greece.

03/10 0.33 l can, courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! It poured golden body with small head. Grainy aroma with some herbal hops. Honey malt flavor, sweetish, very slightly lemony acidic. Thinner in body but with longer finish, some bitterness emerges here. Not so bad as one would expect, but still boring after all those good beers we had on tasting menu those days.

0.33l can brewed by Mythos in Greece, shared with heavy, courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!) Poured a golden body with a medium sized thick white head that went away slow. Grainy honeyish sweet nose, sweet honeyish grainy taste with light lemony notes. Extremely light bitterness and herbal notes. Likable stuff, surprisingly so.
