Commercial description:
Piraat Tripel Hop is een licht amberkleurig bier van hoge gisting met nagisting op fles en op vat. De smaak is uitgesproken hoppig en bevat een droge afdronk. 4 extra hopsoorten worden toegevoegd aan de klassieke Piraat en de selectie hiervan verandert elk jaar in functie van de beschikbaarheid van de hopvarianten. De toevoeging gebeurt tijdens 3 verschillende fases, waarvan 1 door middel van dry-hopping, waarbij de hop (Cascade) wordt toegevoegd in de lagertank tijdens het rijpen.

Amber, light haze, white head
Aroma - Soft spicy hops, soft fruits, soft Belgian yeast esters, hint of alcohol
Taste - Sweet fruity pale malt, soft spicy hops, some peppery hops, soft yeast, dab of bread, good flavour
Palate - Medium carb, full body, rather a sweet beer, soft spicy bitterness, alcohol well hidden for abv. Finish is a bit dry, spicy bitter, warming alcohol
Overall - Better than expected, very drinkable for abv

Bottle, courtesy of MiP. Pours nearly clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt, Belgian yeast and fruit, with floral notes. Sweetsh flavour of malt and yeast, with notes of fruit and flowers and bitter touches of hops and alcohol. Bittersweet aftertaste of yeast and alcohol. Warming alcohol presence. Quite well-balanced and rather enjoyable.

Bottle, 10.5%. Caramelly aroma, slightly soapy and perfumy. Almost clear dark golden colour. Big creamy head, fairly stable. The flavour is sweetish and quite peppery. Not exactly boozy, but close. Alcohol bitterness in the finish. I do not get that much dry hop - perhaps because the alcohol bitterness is so dominant.

There are countless hidden flavors in it despite the strong alcohol and concentration. Anyone who loves hop flavors can feel several types of bitters, and not just the liqueur, alcoholic “medicinal” sweet taste. Lots of aftertaste, something new in every sip. Adequate carbonation, medium foam. Every part of my tongue feels a taste ... I can highly recommend it. A real specialty. Although the E150. I would taste it without aromatic caramel.2020.It is no longer marked on it. Anyway, it's just as good, maybe a little better :)

Rengeteg utóíz, minden kortyban valami új. Megfelelő szénsavasság, közepes a habja. A nyelvem minden része érez valamilyen ízt... Nagyon tudom ajánlani. Igazi kölönlegesség. Bár az E150. aromás karamell - nélkül is megkóstolnám.2020.Most már nincs feltüntetve rajta. Egyébként ugyanolyan jó, talán picivel jobb is :)
