As it matures in the bottle, St Cuthbert becomes drier, allowing bitterness and alcoholic strength to come to the fore. A heady floral aroma is immediately apparent on pouring. Peachy fruit notes and a moderate bitterness linger on the palate long after enjoying a draught.

Bottle, at Cardinal. An unclear, orange-colored beer topped by a finger-thick off-white to beige head leaving lacings. Fruity aroma with some yeast. Pale malts, pine cones and grass too. It has a nice bitterness in the flavor, with pale malts in the back. Fruityness and pine cones. It’s semi-dry on the palate with a decent carbonation. Lasting bitter finish with tropical fruits. Well, it’s a decent one, nothing more. 140726

Bardzo dobre IPA ale specjalne, mocniejsze. Tresciwe i gozkie. Chmiele tu goruja, zwlaszcza zatecki daje goryczke na sporym poziomie. Piana spora i wysoka, a przy tym trwala. Metnosc dosc spora co cieszy w brytyjskich piwach bo to jest rzadkoscia.

Bottle, 6.5%. Mild, refreshing hop aroma, soft fruit, mango and the like. Hazy golden colour. Good stable white head, slightly creamy. The flavour is nicely malty and hop spicy. A little on the sweet side for an English IPA, but good. Refreshing, citrus-like bitterness, quite good.
