Half-pint, cask at Devonshire Arms. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, scattered lacing, patchy off-white head. Promising aromas of grainy chocolate, well roasted. Fine blended taste of chocolate, dark fruit, and dark fruits. Mid-sweet chocolate malts to the finish, nicely roasted. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Cambridge 10.11.2021).

Slightly flat black beer with a filmy head. Sweet aroma of dried fruit. Dried fruit and malt taste. The liquorice comes through in the aftertaste. It’s nice but I couldn’t have a lot of it.
