Small white head. Slightly pale yellow body. Sugary perfumy aroma with oily toffee notes. Dry-sweet perfumy white wine and grapes taste with papery notes. Light body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry perfumy papery grape aftertaste. Taste rather artificial, and very unusual. Didn’t really enjoy. (0.5l bottle, as a gift.)

Bottle:Pale golden, slowly diminishing white fluffy head; grainy, grassy and gardboardy nose; light to moderate bitter flavour, light bodied; water, vegetables and bitter hops in the finish. Typical dull DDR product, a fine brew to celebrate the german reunification......

Bottle, 4.8%. Weak bready aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white head. Clean flavour, malty and creamy, but weakly so. Leaves a little rubbery feeling on my tongue.

(Bottle 33 cl) Urbräu is usually an unfiltered, bitter pilsner, but this one is different. Ehringsdorger is a a filtered, light pilsnertype with a distinct maltsweetness and a harmonic bitterness. Delicious beer. 210604

A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty and so is the flavor leading to a dry end, but the body is thin.

Clear gold; white, creamy head, fed by good carbonation. Nose of cardboard, fresh grain or grain dust, just a touch grassy. Harsh, metallic tang, basis of pale malts, indifferent. Empty mouthfeel. Slight slick (grainy) feeling. Long metallic, dry aftertaste. Not a very good Pilsener. Very D.D.R., I’d say.

Fresh grassy and hayish hops together with a barnyardy quality. Pale yellow, nice champagne bubbles, big creamy white head. Weird dusty and wooden malt flavor, just enough hop bitternes to make it a pilsener. Lightbodied, a tad watery, dry finish and with a green wooden aftertaste. Unless they are doing this on purpose, this mix of flavors does not strike me as being terribly clean and seems wrong....mhhh...what is your verdict Joris?
