Cask. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Again nuts and a little tart fruit in the nose. Medium body, very fruity with a fairly hoppy finish. 170110

Cask at the Falstaff, Derby. A rather non-descript brew. Gold with a ring of white head; fruity with a dry finish. Acceptable, but nothing more.

[i] Cask at the George Hotel, Belper, Derbyshire 17-01-08 [/i] Marzipan and dessert apples dominated the aroma and came through to a lesser extent in the mouth , although the marzipan was still there riding roughshod over all. I didn’t totally dislike this beer, but I really found it quite strange and not my thing at all.
