Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods-Bowery, 4/30/10
Aroma: The nose is sugary and boozy, with some caramel/toffee, light fruit, and earth
Appearance: Pours a hazy mahogany color with a speedily dissipating fizzy beige head
Flavor: The taste is medium heavy sweet with similar attributes to the nose, and minimal bitterness
Palate: This one has a medium-full body, a fizzy mouthfeel, and a light burn from the alcohol
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this one was a bit one-dimensional, but not bad. I just thought it could have use a more prolific hop presence to balance out the strong sweetness that commands this beer. It is also a bit too fizzy for me. It isn't bad, it is just a little too sweet for my taste buds.

Bomber pours deep ruby – copper with weak tan head. The aroma is mild and puts out some musty dark fruitiness and a sense of chocolate, aged pine hops and aged chewy smelling malts. The taste is sweet and rich and seems like a near perfectly aged ’05 Bigfoot with sweet aged malts quickly climbing into smooth and blended mildly sweet dark fruitiness. Behind those notes are a persistent yet blunted with age pine hoppiness. To midway a pleasing level of chocolate surfaces along with sweet caramel and aged pine hops lingering deep into the after taste.

Bottle. Ruby beer with a dark cream colored head. Yeast and sweet malt aroma with spice and fruity esters. Yeast, spice, and summer fruit flavor with malt backing. Medium-plus bodied. Yeast and spice lingers with summer fruit and malt. Alcohol well hidden. Nice.

Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a small beige head. The aroma was crisp and fairly sweet with notes of coriander, lemon and BBQ sauce. The flavor was sweet, tart and fruity with coriander, cinnamon, orange, BBQ and smoke. Long finish. Fairly full bodied. Well done.

22oz Bomber. Thick reddish-brown color, foamy cinnamon beige-red head. I’m not really a big Amber malt guy, but this one really exceeds my expectations. Maybe I haven’t had a good Belgian Christmas Ale for awhile, but this one really captures the essence of that style, mellow spiced fruity tang, coalescing just right with the hops. Sweet red beet candi sugar tastes permeate through the whole time, alongside tropical mango and pineapple. An almost oily full body, but retains some smooth malt tones. Great stuff.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, off-white head over a hazy amber body. Good lace. Aroma is floral and fruity with light hops and some toffee. Taste is fruity with caramel overtones and a nice, albeit faint hop profile lurking beneath. Light carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

Bomber. Dark reddish copper color with a decent beige head. Aromas of green leaves and spice. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. It’s a bit malty sweet, but there’s dark fruit to go with that. For me it’s a bit woody and astringent - despite the fruit sweet. Finishes not dry, but heading towards dry. There’s bitter to ward off the malt. Overall just excellent.
