Bottle from Benzai, thanks! Deep golden color. Bretty citrusaroma. Soapy citric, slightly sour flavor with brett. Fairly dry, slight gusher. Good beer.

Bottle from Wijnegemse Drankenhal. Violent gusher even with very careful opening, fortunately I opened it over the sink. Coarse and bubbly yet thick, egg-white head leaving a continuous membrane of papery lacing all around the edge; practically clear peach blonde robe with warm orangey hue. Aroma of banana peel, red apple, biscuit crumbs, sweet meadow flowers, pineapple, dust, waffle dough, barnyard (Brett!), pear juice, ripe yellow plum, white pepper, old dried plums, fermenting hay, goat cheese, unripe gooseberry, freshly cut grass, gin, old coriander seed, peach, wet leather, sweet white grape. Fruity and estery onset, banana, yellow kiwi, ripe peach and overripe gooseberry, sweet with a sourish undercurrent, crisp with quite fizzy carbonation (unsurprisingly), minerally accents; smooth, full body. Fruit sourishness - possibly the result of an infection but not bothering me too much - continues over a bready, lightly caramelly malt sweet middle, drying the palate a bit and becoming more and more ’dirty’ towards the end, where it is mixed with lingering white candi sugar sweetness, leathery and hayish Brett flavors, soapy coriander, an earthy and spicy hop bitter touch and heating, wodka-like, very noticeable alcohol. Some of these guys’ beers are enjoyable for sure - though a bit cliché, perhaps - but this one leaves me in doubt: obviously the gushing is not acceptable, the alcohol is badly hidden and there is a dirty and souring flavor to it which cannot but result from bacterial infection attracting more attention than the Brett effect. Apart from these evident flaws, I kind of enjoyed this, though the level of ’experiment’ advertized on the label remains limited to a Brettanomyces effect imposed on an otherwise stereotypically sweet Belgian tripel.

Bottle shared, gusher. Hazy golden orange with an off white head. Aroma of brett, tart fruits, light poo, light plastic, caramel and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet, light medium bitter and light sour. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Clearly messed up and infected but actually not too bad.

Bottle shared thanks to kerso. Big gusher. Clear golden with fluffy white head. Lots of fruity Brett, hay, pineapple, light baby poop, plastic, bitter herbs, some sweet malts. Medium sweet and bitter with very light tartness. Medium bodied. Not sure how it was supposed to be, but the Brett actually works here.

At Ghent Beer Festival. Pours clear copper with a frothy white head. The aroma contains yeast and fruits, especially banana. Tastes only medium sour. Medium carbonation and good finish.

Clear and golden with a quick fading head. Lots of strong bready yeast in the aroma and flavour. Touch of aniseed in the aroma too. Not particularly flavoursome. Yeast dominates. Fairly thin bodied and gassy.
