Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 13/04/2012. Dark brown with hints of red and a decent, off-white head. Berry fruit and caramel aroma with a touch of grassy hop. Flavour had more fruit, some coffee and a decent, dry finish. Very good.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Mahogany with a ruby glow against the light and a loose coffee coloured head; muted aroma of bramble fruit; sweet in the mouth and full of jammy fruit at first, then dry from richly roasted malts; and finally the hops give an even drier finish. Really enjoyable.
