Bottle thanks to Steve. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of vanilla, cocoa, freshly brewed coffee beans, sweet chocolate and lactose sweetness. Body on the lighter side of medium.

750ml bottle. Pronounced intense coffee aroma. Black-brown with a thin, oily head. Super coffee forward. Tasty and nice, but a little one-dimensional because it is so coffee rich. Well executed nonetheless, an awesome sipper. Smooth and sugary. Nice.

Found a random bottle at Nikki’s in RI. Tastes of burnt coffee, milk, chalk, hay, herbal, caramel and earth. Nose is kinda funky with small head. Slight alcohol flavors and a touch too watery. Just allright

A deep dark ale with a very thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits and briney notes. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, thin bodied, light acidity, off. Bottle 10 years old.

Pours deep brown into a snifter. Cola head crackles and recedes to nothing. Espresso aromas. Dry with chocolate milk and espresso front to back.

bottle at RBSG 2010 - Pours dark brown and smells heavily of coffee. Unfortunately it’s more like coffee grounds than a good roast coffee. The taste of more of the same. There’s some roast malt in there but any other flavor is overwhelmed by a stale coffee ground taste. This beer does not work. Just bad.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of RCL. Pours a dark reddish brown with a tiny, tiny beige head. Heavy coffee aroma - pretty much nothing else. Medium body, sweet dark roast and again heavy coffee and vanilla. No real bitterness. Easy going. 290311

Tasted at the big “SeaBass has got to go” tasting courtesy of SeaBass. Pours mahogany with just about no head. The aroma is chocolate, dark roasted malts, a bit earthy, spicy, a touch vanilla, faint wood, black strap molasses and a sense of dark roasted coffee. The taste is a bit bright and has tartness from dark roasted malt astringency as well as some black strap molasses, spicy black licorice, a touch of dark roasted coffee and dark roasted to burnt malts. Pretty darn tasty, this.
