Tap at Rootz, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a long-lasting thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is dry smoky bacon. The flavour is moderate dry mineral bitter with a crisp mineral metallic dry smoky roast palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from 'Mitra' (Den Bosch), best before September 2019. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, fairly smoky aroma of caramel, lots of smoked eel, campfire and some sauerkraut. Quite sweet, malty, rather smoky taste of caramel, smoked eel, campfire, sauerkraut, some nuts and a touch of licorice, followed by a short, moderately bitter, very smoky and slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Rauchbock!

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ BAF 2017. Deep brown amber. Nose is herbal, medicinal smoke, leaves. Herbal fizzy smoked, almost medicinal bitter leaves, smoke is bit much, almost medicinal. Fizzy bodied, not optimal but not bad.
