33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated on 26.03.2011
Aroma is dry and somewhat sour with roasted malt and coffee. Flavour is rather roasted and slightly sour with coffee and some licorice. Some harsh bitterness in the finish. I had this also from tap @ SOPP, it was worse with more harsh bitterness.

Bottle @ Pannuhuone, Kuopio. Originally rated on 24.6.2010. Quite well balanced, quite strong. Notes of coffee and wine. Alcohol burns through a bit too much.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very black, brown head. Aroma of tobacco, leather and licorice. Mid dry with full body. Dense, grainy and salty with well rounded mouthfeel and balanced bitterness. A seemless, flavourful, well balanced and quite wonderful warming beer.

31st July 2010. ChrisOs Pre GBBF - ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Opaque black beer, no real head. Rich dark malt and a little medicine on the nose. Light palate. Creamy dark malt. Nice fruit - subtle brandy undertone. Finishes dry with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Pretty good going.

Dark ruby color, small espresso head. Aroma starts with berryish yeastyness then roasted coffee, coffee beans, licorice, touch of tobacco ash. Full-bodied. Front is quite sweet ... caramel .. then very coffeish, ashy and roasted. More coffee in the aftertaste. Also some bitterness (from coffee as well?). Has ageing potential.
