Bottled 330ml (Etre-Gourmet)
Ruby-amber colour, medium-sized beige head and lace. Strong smoked ham in the nose with some wood. Full-bodied. Very sweet, covers ABV well. Smoked ham -smoke dominates. Soft palate with light berryness. Smoke is quite rough (or tough) here. Improves by aging.

Bottle @ home. Medium to full sized beige head that looks quite dense and stable on top of a beautiful dark red-amber colored beer. Aroma is quite heavily smoked, smoked bacon. Not at all your regular barley wine. Taste is quite sweet with even more of the smoke and smoked bacon. And to be honest, combined with the sweetness, I really dislike it. I can’t even finish half a glass of this. Really not my thing. Too bad, there goes another 4 euros down the drain...:/

Bottle. Copper color. Aroma of strong bacony smoke, caramel and ripe fruit. Taste has sweet raisin, smoke, caramel, bacon, dates, malt and molasses. Bit too sweet for me, some more bitter hop would have been nice.

Bottle shared at the July THT. Semi-hazy amber pour with a thin beige head. Notes of smoke, bacon, caramel. A bit too sweet and too smokey. --- Beer merged from original tick of Frick & Frack on 10 Jul 2017 at 12:19 - Score:
