Bottle from the convenience store at Geiranger. Poured a hazy medium amber with a fizzy but quickly disappearing light tan head. The aroma is resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt, grass light spice hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. I expected much better. After the initial fizz it’s completely lifeless.

Bottle from Meny Grønland. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruits, caramel and with hints of hops. Not so much carbonation in this one (batch 76). I think it was more hoppy last time I tried it, this time it more malty and some dried fruits, hops are hardly noticable. I’m not sure if this bottle was okay, the beer seems quite strange now. Sweet and a bit watery with just a hint of bitterness. Still drinkable, but I will try this again when I find another batch. The first time I tried it I really liked it and thought it was a quite nice 4,7% beer. This time I’m not so sure, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and re-try it later.

Medium beige head. Deep amber body with light carbonation. Roasty papery wild berry aroma with earthy oily notes. Dry-sweet oily earthy peas taste with fruity dusty maly wild berry notes. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry roasty toffeeish wild berry aftertaste with earthy waxy minty and faintly perfumy notes. Really nice. Full of flavour and character. (0.5l bottle, Meny Grønlands Torg, Oslo.)
