Bottle, at RBNAG-09. It’s a slightly hazy, orange-golden beer with a decent off-white head. Yeasty nose with nice fruityness, oranges, apples and peaches. Yeasty flavor too, with a nice sweetness and fruityness. Some resiny hops giving bitterness. Fruity, bitter finish. Could use more bitterness I think. Medium body with pleasant carbonation. Overall, a bit on the yeasty side, but a pleasant, easy drinking beer. 091107

Langvarig syrlig ettersmak. Mye innhold til så lavt alkoholinnhold.

A few 500ml bottles, batch No. 12, provided by Leif. Seaborne by MS Gunnar Langva from Aalesund and MS Straumberg from Mosjøen after two months of fishing for capelin in the Barents Sea. The boats had even been to Iceland before the bottles finally reached their destination in Tromsø. Big thanks to the crew and to Leif. Basically a malt-accented pale ale that comes in a nice, pure styled bottle design and pours a hazy, amber-brown body topped by a airy, off-white head with lots of small dimples. Aroma of caramel malts with a spiced hoppy touch. Fruit-malty in flavour added by salty spices. Smooth bittersweet endnotes. Medium bodied. Interesting brew and to my liking (shared at a social gathering at cottage No.63, Hillesøy, 06.03.2010).

500 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Cardinal. Dark golden body with a nice beige head. Strong citric hoppy aroma, quite distinct and pleasant. Flavor is fruity, some caramel, malt and a balanced bitter finish. Medium body, easy drinkable. Maybe a bit plain, but a real tasty thirst-quencher. Looking forward to sample more beers from this brewery.

Bottle, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Amber colour, low head. Aroma of berries and tobacco. The flavour has notes of malts and berries, also notes of tobacco, moderate bitterness. Not bad for a newcomer brewery.
