Pilsen Callao. By far the oldest beer in Peru, and one of the longest-lived in South America. Pilsen Callao traces its origins back to 1863, when Federico Bindels partnered with the Frenchman Aloise Kieffer to make the first beer in the then Callao port neighborhood. More than a century and a half later, it remains at the highest levels of preference in the Peruvian beer market.

Bottiglia.

Barwa jasnozłota, przejrzyste, piana redukuje się do krążka, ładny lacing. Goryczka znikoma, palono-ziemista.

Bottle. Pours gold. Grain, sulfur, vegetal. Not much in the way of body. Pretty garbage all round.

29th July 2023, Argentine Deli in Laguna Hills. 305ml green bottle (new size to me, maybe?) into a frosted beaker. Clean golden/yellow body, short lived white affair on top. Rice, corn and even maybe some malts, semi-sweet with very little hop action. Nice find though, or at least I think so!
