Bottle at THE others tasting, thanks to Ken. Exploding cork almost killed a few people. It pours cloudy, very dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is musty wood, sourness, mouldiness, tart berry, raspberry, Granny Smith apple and jam. The taste is roasted malt, sourness, red berry, raspberry yoghurt, toast, tartness and lightly musty with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Doesn’t taste right…. a bit too tart and musty. Tis a shame, as I really like the base beer!

Bottle at The Others Tasting, London - many thanks to Ken for getting us to help him drink the stuff he doesn’t want to drink by himself :). Pours muddy brown with a light tan foam head. Big funky, sweaty aroma, some dank and moldy fruits. Medium sweet flavor with tart raspberry and baking cocoa, a good bit of Band-Aid, roasted malts. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Tangy berry finish with some roasty malts, cocoa and more Band-Aid. Interesting.

Bottled, thx to Menno. Dark brown color, short head. Aroma of some roasted malt, sour raspberry note, bit off-balance. Same goes for taste, the raspberry dominates the soft english style imperial stout and gives it a sour taste. Not much bitterness left.

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Raspberry herb aroma. Bit of funk. Made with Oud Beersel lambic. Not sure the Decadence base beer and fruit works together that well. Prefer to have the straight Decadence which is a tremendous beer.

31st July 2010. ChrisOs Pre GBBF - ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Cery dark brown beer. Light tan head. Sourish fruit - tart raspberry sitting ill at ease in the darkish malt background. Doesn’t quite gel for me.
