Cask at CPBF, 2013. It pours hazy light amber with a medium white head. The nose is farmyard, sulphur, icing sugar and faint citrus. The taste is pine, bitter grapefruit, pithy lemon, barnyard and resin with a bitter, citric finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good level of bitterness, but it don’t smell good.

Cask @ Cask and Barrel South, Edinburgh 191212
Amber, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - Citrus zest hops and pale caramel malts
Taste - Bitter citrus zesty hops, sweet caramel malts, bitter grapefruit hops, fair amount of sweet malt to try to counter the bitterness but not fully successful, the bitterness of the finish spoils the taste
Palate - Medium body, quite oily. Finish - very long strong bitter hops, almost astringent, gets metallic, too palate stripping
Overall - Lot of flavour here but the finish is far too bitter, couldn’t finish a full pint
