Not bad. A decent Italian effort. Pillowy white head, golden pour with carpet lacing. Some hay and some sour fruit. Average carbonation, bitter and sour finish. On tap.

Bottle from a trade. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A bit really sour nose, some floral elements. The flavor is mellow, flowers, cookie dough, big powerful spices including juniper.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont tap ($10): Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemony citrus with some spice. Taste is much the same. Pretty light. Some minor complexity, but not in a particularly impressive way. Easy to drink, but in a way that should barely be a point for it.

12th June 2010
Very hazy gold beer. Short lived white head. Light crisp palate, dry. Light wheaty malt. Bitter orange, some other fruits. Spice, black pepper and oddly a touch of light chocolate. Finishes dry. Not bad. Made with Juniper, Coriander and Chinotto Peel.

750mL capped bottle. Gusher out the bottle but fortunately I was prepared so not much of a mess. The beer obviously pours with a large head that fades at a steady pace. The beer is a dull golden with a medium clarity. The aroma is strong on coriander, well frankly its all coriander with a sweet yeasty backing. Flavor is all coriander as well and just way too sweet. Frankly, its tastes like something I would brew when I under pitch my yeast and have too much coriander. The 750 is way too hard to finish, mostly a drain pour. This beer needs a better yeast, less sweetness, and less coriander. I can handle it in the aroma but not the flavor.

Bottle 33 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Comes as "Piccolo Sesonette". Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Quite a horrible rotten smell. Medium body, notes of dryish fruit, metal and rot. Ends dry. Quite simply one of the foulest beers I’ve ever had - and I’ve had a few. 070610
