On tap @ Golosaria 2015, Milano.

500ml flip-top bottle bought at Open Baladin in Roma. Shared with Finn. Cloudy, dark-orange coloured body, Tiny off-white head. Earthy malts to the nose, sweet. Dried fruits like apricot in flavour soften by dough-like malts. Noticeable alcohol. Very much on the sweet side, but possible to enjoy for a while (Tromsø, 01.05.2012).

Bottle 50 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Hazy amber golden with a beige head. Sweet caramel in the nose. Medium body with sweet caramel and roasted malt with a fairly light tartness - that shouldn’t be there. No real bitterness. Not very clean for the style. 070610

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with yeast sediments under a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, straw, and yeast as well as a touch of brettanomyces, leading to a lightly tart finish. Nowhere near a doppelbock.

Draught at IBF 2009, Milan, 8% ABV
Muddy amber color. Delicate aroma, a bit fruity (banana). Good body strength, medium caramel flavor, residual sweetness, maybe too much alcoholic at the end.
