Bottle at the Pozarevac tasting in Serbia 10242015, courtesy of John Nolan. rare (retired) vintage bottle. Many thanks John! Pours dark brown color, little ivory gassy phenomenon on the surface. Nose: barrel, a bit of wood (nice), some silky coffee notes. Interesting. Mouth: alcohol, cherries, dry fruit, rich taste. So tasty despite its 7 years.

Bottle shared at Borefts ’13, big thanks to whoever laid down this rare IT number, 28/09/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head. Nose is roasted malts, brown sugars, cocoa, cake mix, light spice. Taste comprises dark toffee, dark fruits, cocoa powder, light oxidisation evident but only a touch. Medium bodied with bite, smooth on the palate, moderate carbonation, light spice in the finale. Decent enough stuff, perhaps a little tired.

Bottled. An almost black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes fo brettanomyces, vinegar, and sweet malt as well as lighter notes of roasted malt. The flavor is acidic with notes of brettanomyces, fruit, and sweet malt as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

4th June 2010. Bottle in Johnny’s Off License, Rome. Dark brown beer. Light palate, a little dry. Smooth lightly sour dark malt. A little red fruit underneath. Finishes dry. Interesting, the sourness is spot on!
