Brew in Collaboration with Mikkeller for the Ratebeer European Summer Gathering. Made with lactose, oats, wheat, and pilsner malt. The beer underwent a 12 hour sour mash to add a little tartness. Hopped with Citra and Sorachi ace. Dry hopped with Sorachi Ace and Centennial along with 1kg of fresh lemon peel.

Cloudy deep blond color. Fruity, citrusy aroma, with a touch of bergamot and lemon peel; followed by light manure too, and pond water.
Medium bodied, but somehow lighter than expected; citrusy flavor, but the light lactic tartness doesn’t match very well.
Strong bitterness, with a citrusy and dry final, a bit astringent, probably better than the rest.
Refreshing, interesting, but strange.

Draught@SBWF2010. Goldeny pale orangeish colour with a small white head. Aroma is a bunch of citrus fruits along with some parfume and sweet maltyness. Flavour is spices, citrus fruits, grass and some quite malty notes as well. Refreshing and balanced.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity fresh citrus hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish.

A Grassroots beer in DC! I love it!! Long overdue....Thank you FrumptyDumpty and Mikkel. Tap at Paradiso Georgetown. Cloudy yellow color, thick off white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemon and black pepper. Taste is an interesting but slightly odd bitter lemon, with an earthy finish. Unique for sure!

Sampled from the tap. Poured a hazy lemon yellow with a white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced slightly. Aroma was full of sweet lemon and citrus with a slight sweet grain backing. Flavor began with sweet lemon and sweet grain and was joined by a growing citrus note.

Draught sampel at SBWF. Pours pale yellow. Really pleasant lemmony aroma. Taste of bitter lemon marmelade. Heavy drink that would be drinkable as a Limonchello liqoure, but in biggerquanties it is to heavy. Unbalanced brew and unbalanced rateing.

Sample @ SBWF. I like the deep yellow color and the aroam has got more citrus sweetness than any other beer. The taste on the other hand, is too sweet and alcoholic and lacks in balance. Strange.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy yellow, small head. Peculiar buttery lemon aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Strange butter-lemon flavour. Medium bitterness. A very unusual beer with a fatty sweet and sensation.

Hazy orange with a largr off white head. Hoppy aroma with lemons, lime and pine. Loads of hops in the dry and crisp flavour with loads of grapefruit, pine, lemons and lime. Finished dry and bitter.
