16 oz. can, shared at Ale Alpharetta. Clear brown, with a thin, beige head. Nice nose of light coffee, caramel, a little salt, and syrup. Very sweet, with a touch of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, creamy, and clean. This is not a bad doppelbock.

Draft @ Cape Ann. Served year round since it’s July and I just drank it a few hours ago. Light amber color with thin head in a shaker glass. Aroma is caramel malt, toasted grain and light lager yeast.
Flavor is again toasted grain, caramel malt, mild hints of fruit and light brown sugar. The carbonation gives a creamy texture that ends sweet. All malt in this brew, as it should be. For the style is just above average and I’m glad the spice was taking away from the recipe several years back. It is a nice, straight forward example of the style and not overly complex. German lager loves will not get to excited but it should do you just fine if you like this style.

Medium body with a bready malt character and notes of ripe fruit and mild hops. The finish is short with a fruity malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
