A refreshing ale with a strong character; its fruity taste comes from barley grown in the Nord department of France and its highly aromatic yeast, its bitterness from a specific variety of hops.

750ml corked bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick curtains of lace. Mild aroma of slightly toasted pale malt, yeast, pear, floral hops and faint oak. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt, honey, lemon, pear, yeast, white wine, spicy hops and faint oak in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average to soft carbonation. Surprised at some of the low ratings. I found this to be tasty and slightly complex. ABV is well hidden, making it dangerously easy to drink.

Backlog December 2008. Unclear pale golden body under a big white head. Aroma is light pale malt, spicy and hint of grapefruit. Taste is light and refreshing with pale malt, some citric fruit, yeast and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste.
