Cask @ The Calverts Court JDW, Stockport [040417]
Dark amber, clear, frothy white head
Aroma of soft fruits, dull for the abv
Taste of caramel, soft citrus hops, not overly bitter, hops work well with the caramel, easy going
Palate - Medium body, soft palate, no booze. Finish of fairly bitter zest
Overall - It’s quite good

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2017. Deep amber in colour, with a small, off-white, head. Ripe orange and lemon fruits, earthy digestive malts and citrus hops, before a dryish finish with a hint of pine. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Regent (JDW), Kirkby-In-Ashfield. Deep amber with a thin white head. Orange and pine are the order of the day here, with a nice sweet malt background and a rich resinous mouthfeel. A good tasty beer, definitely one of the better ones at this fest, but still lacking that wow factor.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. A golden amber pour with a tight cream head; somewhat spicy aroma;smooth and dry in the mouth with a herbal bitterness; then an even drier finish. Good stuff.

Cask at Weatherspoons, Eastboune. Big smell, big personality, almost too big I’d say that it veers from being an IPA to something I can’t even pinpoint. Decent but wouldn’t get again.

On cask @ the Booking Office. Appearance - golden with a slight haze. Nice fluffy head. Nose - citrus and resin. Taste - more citrus, possibly orange, and the resin note again. Some caramel. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry bitter resiny finish. Overall - decent some of the parts.
