Lupulin: The golden part of the hop that gives beer its bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Lupu Lion: The hippest cat in the pride, a juicy golden pale ale heavily hopped for roaring citrus notes with a totally paw-some resinous pine finish. Oh, and it’s also gluten-free!

Cask (with cask breather) at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.3%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate citric hops in aroma and flavour, soft mouthfeel, hints of grain and toffee. Okay, but not really remarkable.

Can at home. Pours a hazy bronze colour with an off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, orange peel, grass and ammonia. Flavours of grapefruit, grass, pine and ammnoia. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. Traditional, hoppy flavours with fruity undertones, but more maltiness would have added more complexity, and the taste ends a bit suddenly. Decent anyway.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Light golden and clear with a medium-sized and fairly loose white head. Grapefruit and a little bit of marmalade on the nose. Taste is nicely bittersweet, touches of the fruity hop dancing on the tongue and leading to a slightly astringent finish. Slightly watery body with carbonation on the low side. A little bit dull but it’s passable.
