Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some slight saltwater, mild grassy hops as well as some slight herbal notes. Flavour is grassy, earthy, quite bready, but sweet malts as well as some mild floral notes in the finish.

Bottle: Golden, almost no carbonation visible, small persistent lacy white head; pale malty nose with very faint strawy and hoppy aromas; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied, soft MF; short, almost watery, hoppy finish. Regarding, that Josef Groll "invented" the famous Pilsner Urquell, this is a very weak "descendant"......

The bottle looks simple but good, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts a bit moldy-sourish, but turns then nicely hoppy-fresh, a bit grasy. Finish shows also spicy-woody notes, still hoppy, not too dry. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Good pilsener!

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Solid and pleasant malty base with nice aromatic herbal hops on top. Lingering hoppy finish. But, as this is Josef Groll’s Pils, should it not be a Bohemian Pilsener ;-)

(bottle, 4.9% abv) Clear, pale golden colour with a thick medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly sweet and grainy pale malty aroma with subtle notes of honey, citrus and mild herbal hops in the background. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly grainy malty taste with subtle fruity notes and soft herbal accents; moderately dry, sweet-bitter finish with delicate herbal hops. Easy-going and pretty mild and rounded Pilsener. 09.I.10
