2010-05-06, blind tasting at Yespr, 5-4-5-2-9=25
Cloudy light amber color; creamy head. The aroma smells bad, manure. Dry mouthfeel, dry caramel flavor, with earthy touch, manure; yeast; astringent in the end. Not nice.

Cloudy dark amber color; big head, creamy. It has a harsh aroma, quite typical for BFM, with a sourish character, woody, maybe fruity too (bitter citrus fruits, bergamot), cork, Belgian style yeast. The promised fruity character is more evident in the flavor, but surpassed by the BFM character: very bitter and lightly sour, yeasty; there is caramel flavor too, medium sweet; bitter oranges; a pleasant touch of black and white pepper. The final has a strong bitterness. Not an easy beer. Very good.
