Bottle. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is brown sugar, caramel, toasted malt. Medium mouth, candy sugar, caramel, boozy finish, very good.

6th October 2010
Hazy dark brown beer, residual tan head. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Aniseedy dark toffee and a rumour of orange hop. That’s pretty much it but it’s a drinkable beer.

Blind tasting at Yespr
Dark brown color; thin creamy head. Light aroma of caramel, very light plastic, phenol, bread. Dry caramel flavor, strong bitterness, very nutty. Easy.

Bottle. This was the next to last beer of the evening, so my notetaking skills had slackened considerably. But I remember this one to be fairly lain caramel.

Tasted blind. Bottled. A chestnut-red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, caramel and fresh as well as over ripe fruits. The flavor has notes of malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and woody finish. The alcohol leaves a slightl burn on the tongue, but the body is light - probably due to a low level of residual sugar. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, 11.37%. Mild roasted aroma. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. The flavour is nicely roasted, has a distinct alcohol note as well. Tastes like a German Dunkel, only twice the alcohol level. Or rather thrice, it turns out. 737316
