500ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with a small head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of plums and raisins. Taste starts sweet with a strong bitter finish and more fruit on the aftertaste. Medium body, a little bit watery. Overall, not a bad fruit beer.

Bottle version, thanks to KnutAlbert. Small skinny strip of white foam. Plain amber body colour. Sweet smell of fruits and malts. Rounded taste of dried fruits where the raisin is detectable. Discreet dry bitter ending. Palate on the sweet side. Medium to thin bodied (RateBeer table, CBF 08.05.2010).

Bottle from Sainsburys, Warrington. Very lively pour, with a big off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Prominent raisin aroma with some caramel and spicy hops. Fruity flavour, with more sweetness and a short, bitter finish. The raisin edge became cloying as more of the bottle was drunk. Ok.

Cask at The Market Porter, London. Amber color with a good white head. Raisin aroma - light one though. Flavor is mild raisin/dark fruit, a little bitter to go with a little caramel. Seems well balanced. A wheat aspect comes and goes. Weird, but pleasurable. Amazing, considering. My wife spontaneously said itโ€™s the best sheโ€™s ever had. Doesnโ€™t finish very bitter at all. Recalls just a thought of the grape sodas of my childhood. The flavor, that is. This is not all that sweet (or dry).

Bottle from the Brewey tap, Cains Brewery. I can understand why this may not be to everyones taste, but I found this to be a great beer. Pours darkish ruddy amber. Raisins clearly evident in the aroma. Taste is full bodied, sweet for sure but not overpoweringly so. There is a really refreshing tang about this which gives way to a crisp lingering dry finish. Recommended la.
