On tap somewhere! Clear amber beer. Light dry palate. Creamy malt base and a light spicy feel about it, I guess from the rye. Marmalade hops, just a slight bitter edge. Finishes dry. Not bad.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Gold with a dense, nitro-style, cream head; grainy aroma; watery body with sweet, vaguely floral flavours; and a dry biscuity finish. Rather unimpressed by this.

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Bristol 19/09/09. Amber coloured with a decent white head. Spicy aroma, with some apricots and earthy hops. Flavours of more fruit, cereal malts and a bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask handpull at The Market Porter. I got the last half out of the barrel, so a bit hard to say. Hazy old gold, lasting thick cream. Quite heavy on the rye, good woody taste. No condition. OK, should be quite interesting when in good nick.
