Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester – as 4%. Pours chrome yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not mch of an aroma – just some generic citrus. In the mouth it is very briefly sweet, before citrus bitterness overwhelms it. Lemon and grapefruit with mango and herbs lurking in the background. Finish is quite sticky. This is OK – a bit too citrussy for me really.

2/6/2022. Cask at the 35th Colchester Real Ale & Cider Festival. Pours clear dark gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, hoppy, caramel, straw, fruit, slight buttery edge. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Smooth slightly creamy texture, soft carbonation. Quite decent.

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Light gold and extremely clear with a frothy white head. Grassy and bready aroma with light lemon curd. Taste is on the sweet side but with a nice hoppy balance. More light citrus, marmalade and tannic tea notes in the finish. Dull yet enjoyable, if that makes sense.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly buttery, lightly bitter. Meh, not very good. Although, it’s drinkable and by no means filthy. But not something I would order again very soon.
