courtesy of BA trader. pours cloudy gold, thick white head. Aroma very Belgian abbey like, yeasty, fruity, some sweetness and orange zest. Flavor, light bittersweet, light floral, citrus hops, hints of grapefruit in the finish with some orange. Belgian yeast, some dark sugar and spices in the finish.

GABF2009 - starts out with a crisp and intense spiciness, but this is quickly replaced by a very strong honey sweetness and fruity esters - the sweetness persists throughout, even though some herbal and floral bitterness try to balance it out - a bit hot and sweet, but fairly tasty.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazed amber with a small white head. Aroma has sweet caramel, cloves, green apple, and bubblegum. Flavor is a nice mix of cloves, caramel, bubblegum, and apple. A touch of salt, too, and a little alcohol tingle. Pretty darn enjoyable.

A nice reddish-amber with some bright orange tints. Large white head, foamy and lasting. Aroma is light yellow fruits (tangerines, peaches) with a definite belgian yeast appeal, good and strong. This one is right on the border between a belgian ale and belgian strong, but as the alcohol is not dominant at all, the yeast is not huge, nor does it taste of candi sugar, it really reminded me more of a belgian ale. Apricot like flavors, lots of grainy yeast and a touch of spiciness. Finish has a bit of wateriness on it and dries out quite a bit.
