Bottled (from Estate Wine). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some rather toasted notes, mild toffee and fudge. Flavour is caramel malts, some toasted notes, toffee and mild notes of caramel. Pleasant.

Bottled. Clear nut brown, creamy head. Aroma of chocolate mousse. Mid sweet with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Some cocoa roastiness takes you to asalty bitter finish. Pleasant beer!

bottle from South Wales. Clear deep brown colour, large beige head. Malty nose, hints of chocolate. Malty, lots of caramel and chocolate, slightly hoppy. Reminiscent of a good Dunkel. Slightly spicy with hints of cinnamon and clove. Delicious.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark red amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, nutty, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, citrus - orange, berry - fruity. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100415]

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown body with a dense beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel and some smoke. Flavor is light roasted malt, caramel and a fine, light, balanced bitterness. Nice session beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Clear warm orangey brown with a tall, dense and lacing off-white head. Lightly sweet and nutty aroma with some burned caramel. Medium body with nuts, roasted malt and vitamin-c. Lightly bitter finish. 070209

Near black beer, orange-amber reflections; creamy, near solid dark beige head. Sweet molasses, liquorice, and a bit of chocolate. Roasted grains, impression of black cacao powder, developping more and more to chocolate. Light but NOT empty; slickness, not unremindful of water-based chocolatemilk, grist-y. Not a bad one! this is an interesting dark British ale, well-worth trying.
