“Knockendoch” – The Dark One. Like the granite mountains behind the original site snd from which this superlative ale takes it’s name. It is a full bodied natural drink imbued with a quiet strength which can sometime deceive the unwary.

Half pint, hand pulled at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Dark amber with a fading, but lacing head. Notes of juicy malts in a very weak aroma. The taste brings hints of plums alongside acid malts, which was not a particular successful mix to my palate. Dry and clean in the mouth 23.10.2008.

A copper coloured ale, with a light malt nose and a roast malt balanced with alittle hop flavour

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel - reminds me of a Bock. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt, which makes the end dry and roasted and somewhat bitter.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear amber with a small, off-white head. Weak, malty caramel aroma. Very light body with fruity, nutty notes. Short, dry finish. An easy to drink session beer. 291005
