19 September 2020. At Umami, Santa Maria degli Angeli. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear amber, stable, thin, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of peanut, biscuit, brioche, green tea, raisin, plum, toffee, rainwater. Taste has sweet maltiness of raisin, plum & apricot, soft caramel & brioche, a bit nutty & herbal. Malty, slightly herbal hoppy finish, subtle dried fruit. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not extraordinary.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful deep red, with a very persistent foamy head. Aroma is weak initially, of malt and caramel. More comes out later, with malassas. Body is fairly dense with moderate carbonation. Taste is sweet. Final is moderately long.

50 cl from the brewery, 5.9%. Dark amber color, bright red in see-thru, soft fine brownish to off-white head with a moderate lacing. Fresh nose of roasted malts. Aroma has sweet malts, slightly roasted, with caramel. There’s some grassy hops. Taste is mostly sweet. On palate is fluffy and very light, the finish is softly bitter where malts sweetness prevails. Body is light to medium, thin texture, carbonation is low.
Reminds me of a Vienna as style, sweet and not shining on special features, but simple and good enough.
