Svårfångad i sitt smakregister. Bra beska.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Very fruity aroma with banana, wheat and hints of spices, citrus, yeast and malt. Sweet and fruity with a slightly dry and lightly bitter finish. Well balanced. Very nice and tasty! (2013-02-23)

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a strong toasty malt and orange peel. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet caramel malt and light spicey finish. Easy to drink a good Belgian strong ale from Nogne.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2009. Courtasy of Inbreak. Pours a deep red brown colour. Small light beige head, medium compact and lasting. The aroma is really one of a kind. I sence tobacco, orange juice, herbs and pine, some alcohol, and feels fresh. A bit sweet flavour with a lot of salt liqorice, and in addition roasted malt, dried fruit, blackcurrant, and some alcohol in the end. Light+ bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouth feel. Ive never tasted a beer like this. A really one of a kind beer.

500 mL bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a dark brown color, clear with floating particles. Medium sized fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of wheat, citrus, bread, spice, toasted malts, honey and nuts. The taste is sweet bread notes, citrus, honey, spice, bread, candied ginger. Reminiscent of asian food. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Interesting.

An ambivalent feeling abot this beer.
First time it was perfect. It was at a Christmas tasting at the brewery. Even the brewer was a bit....."happy". He wanted us to taste something new he had coming. But he forgot to tell us that it was 10%.
Anyway it was very good. But when I later bought a bottle and was looking forward to a cousy evening. Well I did not like it at all.
I have yet not tasted the new version toghether with Amundsens. But soon I hope.
It has a light brown and hazy body, with an off white head. Wheat and light roasted malt aroma. Sweet wheat and some roasted barley flavour. Also yeasty and too much alcohol coming through.

500mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a dark red with a small ring of head. Problematic aroma upon first inspection - charcoal, burnt wood, some rotting dark fruits and odd spices. Flavour reveals these off-putting flavours, with lots of stale, rotting fruits, charcoal, cough syrup and burnt wood / malts. Either this is an infected bottle or it's a horrendous, offensive brew. Hand to pour this one out. Disgusting.
