Bottle. Amber-brown beer with a cream colored head. Malt and light spice aroma. Caramel and light spice flavor. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel and spice lingers with light wheat.

Bottle, batch 439:
Pours a dark, reddish brown with a mid-sized head. Aroma is coriander, toffee and marshmallows. Thick and sweet mouth feel. Flavour is coriander, loads of coriander, also some marizipan and a little bit of liquorice. Too much coriander in this one.

Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small off-white to pale beige head. Aroma is spices, some burnt wood, mild caramel and roasted malts. Flavour is a lot of spices, some caramel, mild roated notes as well as some sligh fudgelike sweetness. Alcohol is warming rather much as well. Not that balanced, but an interesting attempt.

Bottle. Pours black with a touch of red. Off white head. Dark malts, "forest", some chocolate and dark bread with syrup. The taste is more aggressive than the aroma. Dark malts, licorice and the typical spicy Nögne thing. The wheat smoothens this beer and rounds it off. This one has a lot of simillarities with the Sticke altbiers. Delicious!

500ml bottle, batch 439, second lunch break beer at Olympen early on a Friday afternoon travelling from Tromsø to Geilo. Lasting, beige head atop of a deep mahogany coloured body. Aroma of bready malts and juniper. Unusual taste profile with spices up front added by anise, dark malts, and juniper as well. Semi-sweet. Masked alcohol. A fine partner to my lunch meal containing rye bread with liver pate, mushroom and beetroot (Oslo, 18.06.2010).

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head. A lot of orange and coriander in both aroma and taste. Also some balsam vinegar, citrus, licorice and yeast. Quite sweet, not that much carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink despite 10% alcohol. Ok beer, however, a bit too much coriander for my taste.

Very strange beer. Pours dark purplish black with white head. Nose is red licorice, Bazooka Joe bubblegum and medicine. Taste is similar with light fruits. No hint of alcohol even though it’s 10% abv. It’s very close to drinking straight cough medicine.
