Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some biscuits, chocolate, ashes. Flavour is chocolate, some biscuits, mild toasted notes as well as some floral and mild earthy notes. Ashy and chocolaty finish with some mild wood too.

14 September 2020. At Doppio Malto, Verona. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy black with a thick, foamy, tan head. Aroma of toast, hard liquorice, dried fig, walnut, peanut, sweet tobacco, milk chocolate. Taste has sweetish fig & liquorice in a nutty-toasty malt body, bit herbal with vague chocolate, faraway hint of estery red apple. Ends dryish, toasty, earthy hoppy, more dried fruit & liquorice. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Gently roasted dark Ale.

Draft: Poured a black brown with the light brown head. Aroma is rich sticky malt with molasses. Taste is rich bitter chocolate, roasted malts, licorice.

On tap at Doppio Malto. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of roast, liquorice, hint of laurel. Flavour is dry, malty, roast, liquorice, some caramel, light resin. Medium bodied.

Draft - Chocolate and some toast. Jet black with a rich light brown head. Coco and light chocolate with a thin body.

Draught in Roma brewpub. Creamy off-white excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter wonderfull flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Draught @ the brewpub n Rome. Pours cloudy nearly black with stable, creamy beige head. Clear aroma of malt and roast, with notes of chocolate and fruit. Sweetish taste of malt,mwith fruity and estery touches and bitter notes of roast and dark chocolate. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. A nice one.

Opaque black brown beer, small tan head. Nose of dark malt with a little coffee. Crispy palate. Taste follows the nose to a degree., Fresh dark malts, trace of coffee. Trace of sweet ester bubblegum. Finishes smooth. Aftertaste of dark malt and coffee. Not bad.
