Pours deep amber into a shaker. Tan head proceeds to top hat the rim and slowly recedes to nothing leaving no lacing. Sour raisin and pit fruit front to back. Does not improve as it warms.

A hazy dark amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is acidic combined with a weird herbal note - maybe it is the ruta. The flavor is sweet malty with a strong herbal accent, and a thick body.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a decent, retentive, beige head. Spicy, somewhat herbal nose. Medium-bodied with a solid amount of roasted malt and an underlying tartness. Sweetish with herbal accents and a flavour of earth and kava roots. Highly unusual. 070606

2008-12-26, draught at the brewpub, 6-3-6-2-11=28
Cloudy dark chestnut color; small head. Common chocolatey lean beer; with very light ruta aroma and stronger ruta flavor; the ruta leaves a light coffee touch, a bit herbal. Thin final. Not bad, but the ruta is disturbing in a beer.

Dark amber color; beautiful creamy head. Wonderful aroma, explosion of malt and caramel, nuts, spices, light smokeyness, sweet wood. Very good taste, where the malt is almost fruity, and with the similar elements as in the aroma; maybe a bit thin at the end. Excellent!

Chestnut, red highlights; amberish head. Dark chocolate malts nose, sweet, and traces of diacetyl. Dry, sherry-ish taste, with dark malts to the fore, chocolate, leafy, faintly herbal. Slick, well-bodied, notable alcohol-warming. Good experiment, even if I cannot trace its specific components. I want more of those around, beats some established Italian microbrews with a lot of fame. Grazie, Lorenzo.
