Pours black with a small, thin, frothy tan head. The aroma is light roasted malts, liquorice, dried fruit, and dark berries. A moderately sweet and roasted taste, sweet roasted malts, prunes, figs, liquorice, and sweet dried fruit flavours, light chocolate notes and a sweet roasted and dark fruity bitter finish. Very nice!

Bottle from Harveys Brewery Shop, Lewes. Pours a pitch black colour with a medium sized very thick and creamy dark beige head. Beautiful looking drink. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, leather, molasses and caramel. Taste is more of the same notes as the aroma and very rich. Full bodied, a very smooth mouthfeel and a long warming rich and roasty bitter finish. Really nice winter sipper.
